Safety and consent
Last updated 2026-09-03
How we handle real people's faces and voices, what the system refuses to do, and how to get something taken down.
Consent is a gate, not a checkbox
A character built from a real person cannot generate anything until consent is recorded. Not a warning, not a watermark — the generation request is refused.
We record which basis you declared (you are the person, you have their permission, you hold a licence), the time, and the address it came from. Likeness and voice are recorded separately.
Everything generated is labelled
Images and video are marked as AI-generated in the interface and carry the generating model and job id in their metadata. Download pages repeat that it may not be used to impersonate anyone.
A character will not claim to be a real person, or to be a living consciousness.
Minors
YOUHERE is 18+. Uploads that read as a minor go to human review and do not pass automatically. Sexual content involving minors is reported, not merely blocked.
The children's companionship scenario uses a separate, restricted prompt and content set, and is not the same system with a filter on top.
Getting something removed
If a character uses your face or voice without permission, write to abuse@youhere.live with enough detail to identify it. We restrict first and investigate after — the wrong outcome of waiting is worse than the wrong outcome of pausing.
You do not need an account to file a report.
What we have not finished
The image and video classifier is not yet in place. Until it is, video uploads are held for review rather than passed, and unknown input is treated as needing review rather than as safe.
We would rather say this plainly than let the absence read as an absence of risk.
